The Elven kingdoms (Quelosti and Aetherogasti) are essentially set in their Renaissance. They are discovering science based technology, they value art and beauty, they are friendly with all races, and very much trade based. They keep track of the days of the year by counting the days of the season. Each season has approximately 90 days. 45th is midsummer, and summer 90th is the last day of summer. Their religion is based on a single almighty being (there are ongoing arguments about whether this being is male, female, or has a gender at all), known as the Unnamed God, who controls (like Zeus) a pantheon of lesser gods. One prominent sect believes that the Unnamed God is female, and therefore all females should be studiously protected. This leads to strict codes of conduct; women of this sect veil themselves and will only remove these veils in their own house in the presence of their husband or other women.
